历史文化学院拥有历史学本科专业，中国史、世界史两个一级学科硕士学位授权点和博士学位授权点，历史学教育二级学科博士点和历史学教育硕士专业学位授权点，中国史和世界史两个博士后科研流动站，形成“学士-硕士-博士-博士后”完整的历史学人才培养体系。历史学本科专业为广东省特色专业。中国史和世界史为广东省优势重点学科。

School of History and Culture has a undergraduate major of History. The disciplines of Chinese History and World History have been authorized to grant master's degree and doctoral degree. The subordinate discipline of History Education has been authorized to grant doctoral degree and professional master's degree. School of History and Culture has found two stations for post-doctoral research, namely the Chinese History post-doctoral research station and the World History post-doctoral research station. The integrated system of personnel training has been formed covering degrees of bachelor, master, doctor and post-doctor. The undergraduate major of History is a major with distinct features of Guangdong province. Chinese History and World History are predominant disciplines of Guangdong province.
